This role serves as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive the best support and guidance throughout their healthcare journey.
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive individual who thrives in a patient-facing role. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional manner, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
Main duties of the job
* Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures.
* Schedule and manage appointments accurately using SystmOne & PATCHS Health.
* Handle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
* Maintain and update patient records efficiently.
* Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care.
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting or a patient-facing role is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.

Qualifications and Experience
* Have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
* Be highly organised, able to prioritise tasks, and work well under pressure.
* Demonstrate a patient-centred approach, ensuring all interactions are handled with care and empathy.
* Be confident using IT systems, with experience in Microsoft Office 365 and clinical databases (e.g., SystmOne & PATCHS) being an advantage.
* Show flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn.
* Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and work under pressure.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, both in-person and over the phone.
* Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also using initiative.
* Previous experience in a reception, call centre, or customer-facing role.
