To ensure suitable designs, resources and engineering outputs are achieved for designated projects, we are looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our team. What you will be doing as our new Senior Design Manager? As our Senior Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Place-Based Thinking programme, ensuring the delivery of innovative and sustainable capital investment projects that align with Anglian Water’s commitment to environmental and social prosperity. You’ll lead a talented engineering team, driving collaboration, embracing new technologies, and implementing nature-based solutions to address the unique challenges of the East of England. Responsibilities: Lead the design delivery for the Place-Based Thinking programme, ensuring high-quality engineering outputs that meet project standards. Develop and manage the engineering resource strategy, allocating resources effectively to meet project demands. Fulfil the role of CDM Principal Designer, prioritizing health, safety, and compliance in all design activities. Foster collaboration within the leadership team and with key stakeholders, driving the successful delivery of business objectives. Champion innovation and sustainability, integrating nature-based solutions and new digital technologies into the programme. A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours To join our team, you’ll need a degree in Engineering, with Chartered Engineer status being highly desirable. You will bring extensive experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary design teams within a design and build environment, particularly in the delivery of complex capital projects. With a strong focus on health and safety, you’ll be adept at fulfilling the responsibilities of a CDM Principal Designer, ensuring safety is at the forefront of all design activities. You’ll excel in fostering collaboration, both within your team and with external stakeholders, driving innovative and sustainable solutions that align with place-based thinking.
