We’re looking for a dynamic, resourceful Business Development Manager to work closely with our Head of Development and play a key role in our agency’s continued success. This is a role for someone proactive, adaptable, and eager to make a meaningful impact.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys taking initiative, solving problems, and working across different areas of a growing business. While the role focuses on client onboarding, marketing, and service development, the successful candidate will also manage some client accounts directly and provide cover for the Account Management team as needed, including during periods of leave. The ability to build strong client relationships and ensure smooth campaign delivery will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth & Strategy – Work closely with the Head of Development to support business expansion, identifying and driving growth opportunities.
2. Client Onboarding & Relationship Management – Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new charity clients and maintain strong working relationships to support their success.
3. Client Account Management – Take direct responsibility for managing some client accounts, ensuring high levels of service and campaign performance.
4. Account Management Cover – Provide support to the Account Management team when required, including during periods of leave, to ensure continuity of service.
5. Marketing & Outreach – Assist with content creation, campaign planning, and outreach initiatives to attract and engage new clients.
6. Service Development – Identify opportunities to enhance and expand our offerings, providing recommendations for improvement.
7. Operational Support & Adaptability – Get hands-on with various business functions as needed, ensuring smooth operations.
8. Creative & Independent Thinking – Take ownership of initiatives, problem-solve proactively, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
What We’re Looking For:
1. A self-starter – You take initiative, solve problems, and thrive in a fast-moving environment.
2. 1-3 years of experience in business development, account management, marketing, or a related role is desirable.
3. Highly adaptable & able to multitask – You’re comfortable shifting between tasks and managing priorities effectively.
4. Great communication & interpersonal skills – You’re confident speaking to clients and collaborating with colleagues.
5. Organised & efficient – You can juggle multiple responsibilities and keep projects on track.
6. Tech-savvy or quick to learn – Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office is a plus.
