Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Working alongside partners and business development professionals to identify persuasive sales messages for a sequence of Addleshaw Goddard service lines, legal practices, and other parts of our firm (including Diversity Equity & Inclusion, and Corporate Social Responsibility). You will convert those sales messages into compelling pages on the AG website in the most engaging, resonant way possible.
2. Writing accompanying case studies and other marketing content to reinforce the effectiveness of those sales messages.
3. Writing compelling invitations for client events, boosting read rates and event registrations.
4. From time to time you may be asked to interview the firm's lawyers and delve into the technical aspects of what they do, in order to write accompanying articles or posts.
5. Working alongside our internal digital and design team to publish your pages and content.
6. Recommending 'calls to action' to convert our web pages and content into contact with potential clients.
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
1. You must be able to write persuasively and in plain English that will appeal to senior business executives.
2. You must be able to liaise with lawyers and other specialists to reveal and then convey sales messages in a client-centric way. Commerciality is as important as strong writing skills for this role.
3. A familiarity with the basic tenets of keywording to boost Search Engine Optimisation would be preferred.
4. We are looking for someone who can get into the detail of a specific legal group quickly, and make things happen. Strong interpersonal skills with time-poor, specialist businesspeople are essential.
5. You must be highly organised, an excellent project manager, be able to manage concurrent projects, prioritise workload according to business need, and ensure completion against tight deadlines.
6. You must have at least 5 years of experience as a writer in a B2B setting – whether freelance, agency-side or client-side. Some experience in Professional Services, Financial Services, Real Estate or Technology is strongly preferred.
7. You will report directly to a Senior Marketing Manager and must be an effective communicator, capable of solving problems. You will have the ability to say no professionally and be able to handle escalations in a calm manner.
