Community Support Worker
* Generally Monday-Friday
* Contract: Permanent (subject to funding)
* Salary: £23,500 (rising to £24,000 after 6 months probation)
* Location: Covering Torfaen (based in our hub in Pontypool)
* All staff must work flexibly on occasions to meet the needs of the service
* Agile - working where and when required, to do the job most effectively
Purpose of the post: Provide specialist support services to women who are accessing our services in the community.
Specific Responsibilities
* Support women to undertake and engage in initial and ongoing needs assessments, risk assessments, safety plans, and support plans.
* Work with women and children in an empowering and engaging manner.
* Follow up referrals and notifications from other agencies including police PPN reports.
* Support women and children to have a voice within the organisation and the sector, by encouraging them to complete surveys, give feedback, and attend associated events.
* Support, signpost, and refer women and children to the services they wish to engage with, such as social services, the police, parenting, health, legal, DWP, housing, homelessness, recreational, educational, and cultural services, as well as CWA's other internal services.
* Ensure accurate and timely records are maintained in relation to all aspects of the service and case work, including inputting information into our Information Management System.
* Assist in producing qualitative and quantitative data, including the creation of case studies.
* Assist, when directed, with the delivery of group and educational programmes.
