Team Leader – Childrens Residential Care – £27,664 (Basic Salary)
The Role
You will be working as a Team Leader in our 6 bedded Childrens residential service for short term stays and respite breaks. You will be caring for Children up to the age of 17 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, Autism, ADHD and associated behavioural challenges. Children accommodated at the home may also present with sensory impairment, physical disabilities and sexualised behaviours or equally, with complex health care needs, acquired brain injuries and complex health needs who require 24-hour specialist care and support.
You will support the management team to maintain a safe and enabling environment that provides positive experiences to the children who are accessing the service. Your role will be to encourage them to develop new skills and to be the best that they can be, whilst also providing the highest quality of care and support to our people. You will have strong values, a passion to care, be resilient, self-motivated, compassionate, have a fantastic work ethic and be able to work on your own initiative and lead a team, whilst following the support and care plans provided for the people we support.
Qualifications
* Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People).
* At least 1 year’s experience as a team leader within a residential setting and also, willing to work towards Leadership and Management and QCF level 5 Care or equivalent.
* Learning Disabilities: 2 years.
* Residential Care: 3 years.
