What you will do:
* Provide Occupational Therapy for team clients, ensuring comprehensive care with a maximum one-day duty cover for the team every two weeks.
* Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
* Complete standardised assessments using the Model of Human Occupation and other frameworks.
* Offer manualised interventions, both group and individual, such as GLOW and IPEL, to support service step-down and preparation for client discharge.
* Conduct Sensory Profiling and interventions for clients with sensory challenges, and provide advice to the team to promote access and reasonable adjustments.
* Participate in planning, development, and evaluation of OT services, leading defined projects.
* Engage in the OT referrals process, identify and prioritise the need for OT specific interventions.
* Provide leadership and clinical supervision to junior staff and Recovery Support Workers.
* Promote Recovery and Social Inclusion, collaborate with the Involvement Team to enhance service-user engagement and co-production.
* Work with the Employment Specialist to advance vocational pathways.
* Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Trust OT Service.
* Facilitate seamless working from admission to discharge following the Adult Services Recovery Care pathway principles.
* Advocate for the impact of occupational therapy on managing daily occupation challenges.
* Serve as the ‘Disability Champion’, leading the multi-disciplinary team in Disability Equality matters.
Minimum Requirements: Candidates must be HCPC registered and have a valid driving licence for this exciting role.
