We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our client's manufacturing site near Orpington. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing strong relationships, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in sales, with the ability to communicate effectively and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
Our client, a global leader in production, seeks an experienced Sales Account Manager to drive key accounts within a designated market, using effective planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to provide an excellent customer experience and achieve the client's revenue targets consistently.
Sales Account Manager Responsibilities:
* Deliver revenue against quarterly outlook by forecasting numbers with the Sales, Production, and Logistics teams to ensure revenue and material margin outlooks are accurate.
* Actively look to upsell and chase orders to meet revenue targets.
* Sell available manufacturing capacity to relevant customers within your key audience.
* Liaise closely with External Sales counterparts, attending trade shows and customer meetings.
* Ensure that stocking levels are appropriate and that stock is sold regularly to avoid overstocking.
* Process and chase payment of invoices with key customers as part of regular contact process.
* Schedule work within existing guidelines, collaborating with colleagues to ensure the best fit of work is sent to the plant.
* Ensure shipping documentation and export management is carried out to the highest standard in close conjunction with the Warehouse team.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new business opportunities.
* Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Utilize Salesforce to track sales activities, manage client information, and generate reports for analysis.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and address client needs.
* Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to clients, showcasing products and services.
* Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making.
* Provide leadership and guidance to junior sales staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Experience:
* Proven experience in a sales role, preferably as an Account Manager or similar position.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* Proficiency in ERP software is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage clients effectively.
* Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to achieving targets.

This role offers a competitive annual salary of between £40-43k depending on experience.
