Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in Gloucestershire which is looking to recruit a Principal Highways Development Coordinator on an interim basis for 5 months initially. Key Responsibilities: Oversee developer applications and legal agreements under Sections 184, 278, and 38 of the Highways Act 1980. Provide expert advice on transport development design and construction. Represent the Highway Authority in technical meetings and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Manage bond and fee calculations, issue adoption certificates, and guide less experienced colleagues. Act as a lead officer for Advanced Payment Code notices and deputise for the Team Leader when needed. Ideal Candidate: Extensive experience in highways planning, engineering design standards, and legal agreements (S278, S38, S106). Strong technical understanding of highway design and construction. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Accredited degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., ICE, IHE) desirable. Full, valid driving licence.
