As the Field Team Manager, you'll play a key role in managing fibre installation projects, driving performance, and ensuring the successful delivery of critical connectivity solutions. Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Management: Lead, manage, and support a team of up to 20 field engineers, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
* Project Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and oversee field operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
* Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess team performance, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all field activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
* Customer Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any issues promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower and equipment, to optimize project delivery.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on project progress, team performance, and any issues or risks to senior management.
* Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve operational challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Skills Required:
* Experience: Proven experience in a similar managerial role within the telecoms industry or a related field.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
* Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
* Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of telecoms engineering principles and practices.
* Organisational Skills: Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Health and Safety: Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
* Flexibility: Willingness to travel within the locations noted above.
