We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join our Tissue Viability team on a part time basis. The amalgamation of Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals, into University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust means that this is a really exiting time to join our team.
The Tissue Viability service provides advice and support on the management of complex wounds across the Trust. We work clinically together with ward-based staff to ensure the best outcomes for our patients and have a strong focus on education. A passion for the prevention of pressure ulceration and wound care is essential.
Set working pattern can be flexible within Monday - Friday 0800-1600hrs

Location: Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital Cross site working will be required for this role

The main purpose of the role is:
• Work as part of the Tissue Viability team to develop, improve and maintain high standards of care relating to tissue viability
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate prevention and management plans for patients with complex tissue viability needs
• Provide education, support and act as a resource for members of the multidisciplinary team, patients and families with regard to wound management and tissue viability.
• Support clinical staff to implement the Trust Pressure Ulcer Prevention Strategy, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained
• Support the process of accurate reporting and analysis of pressure ulcers including investigation processes
