The Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre seeks an enthusiastic and able, multidisciplinary physical scientist to support and develop our multinuclear programme at 3T (GE and Philips) and 7T (Philips). Our scanners are equipped with 31P, 23Na, 13C, and 2H capabilities amongst others, and we also have a spin lab polarizer.
This post is focused on developing novel methods using natural abundance and labelled methods to investigate metabolism for the GI and Liver theme of the Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre. We would like a successful candidate to have a deep knowledge of in vivo MR spectroscopy, a good knowledge of the relevant biochemistry and the ability to exploit these in analysing data. The candidate will be expected to work with clinical colleagues to develop groundbreaking experiments, run these studies, and perform the data analysis.
This post is full-time (36.25 hours) and fixed term until 31/03/2026.
