As an LSA (Learning Support Assistant) you will work alongside teachers in supporting the educational growth and development of students either in a group setting or on a 1-1 basis. You will assist in the day-to-day operations of a class and liaison with faculty to ensure student needs are met.
The role of a Cover supervisor is a fantastic way to make a start in the world of teaching. When a class is missing its teacher the Cover support steps up. Although not strictly teaching the class, you would lead and guide them through work provided and assist in understanding the topic and problem solving for the presented activities.
your roles may include,
1. Working collaboratively with teachers to ensure educational plans are carried out to an industry standard.
2. Aiding students in accessing and understanding the curriculum.
3. Monitoring behaviour and welfare of pupils throughout each day.
4. Helping to ensure all students have access to equal opportunities.
5. To be vigilant in safeguarding.
6. Presenting cover lessons to classrooms.
7. Supervising and supporting pupils while they attempt tasks.
8. Aiding students in accessing and understanding the curriculum.

The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience in the education or childcare sectors with the relevant interpersonal communication skills, including speaking and listening.
