Physis Care is excited to be offering an opportunity to join their team as a Therapeutic Support Worker. Physis provides residential care, education, and therapy for children and young people aged 11-18 who have experienced or are at risk of exploitation.
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Therapeutic Support Worker to join our team and play a key role in creating safe and caring spaces for young people. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive and therapeutic environment.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Level 3 QCF Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential
2. Experience working with children with complex needs in a residential setting
3. A manual driver's licence for use of on-site vehicles
4. The ability to handle challenging situations with a calm and positive approach
5. Strong leadership skills and the ability to share best practice with the wider team

What's involved in the role?
1. Implementing and modeling the Physis Model of Therapeutic Care to provide emotional, social, and educational support to young people
2. Working as part of a team under the direction of the Registered Manager (RM) to deliver the highest standards of care
3. Supporting the day-to-day maintenance of the household, including tasks such as driving, cooking, and cleaning
4. Always promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children
