Production on our sites is highly automated 24/7 operations and the performance and efficiency are reliant on excellent engineering practice.
The main duties of the role include:
- Ensuring the safe and efficient running of the production process, improvement in plant and equipment ensuring that it is fully operational.
- Maintain plant in optimum condition to maximise efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Responding to breakdowns, outages and join an on call rota.
- Carrying out systematic fault finding.
- Be confident in all aspects of electrical maintenance, from power and lighting to PLC control.
- Completion of project work.
- General equipment maintenance including strip down, clean, inspect, repair, rebuild.
- Carrying out PPM works in line with our schedule.
- Promote and implement improvements in our onsite engineering team to maximise efficiency.
- General maintenance around the site, including grounds, office, production and storage areas.
- Maintaining accurate records of all works carried out.
- Maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness in own working areas.
- Carry out a clean as you go policy.
- Adherence to H&S and environmental requirements.
- To be prepared to assist mechanical engineers in day to day tasks.
- Any other reasonable task requested by member of the Management Team.

- Core electrical qualifications with 2 years working experience.
- Working knowledge of electrical installation in an industrial environment.
- Experience in a similar role in a fast moving, high volume production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure.
