Regional Lead Occupational Therapist and Sensory Practitioner
This is an opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to take on a Regional Lead role and provide professional management and leadership for the Occupational Therapy service across the Midlands and Yorkshire region. The successful candidate will have the chance to demonstrate their expert clinical knowledge and embed evidence-based practice across the region, while also managing a defined caseload, undertaking SI assessments, treatment and evaluation of interventions.
Main duties of the job
As the Regional Lead Occupational Therapist and Sensory Practitioner, you will be responsible for the line management, professional leadership and development of the Occupational Therapy Service across the Midlands and Yorkshire region. With experience from the NHS and/or private sector, you will manage a defined caseload undertaking SI assessments, treatment and evaluation of interventions across the region on referral basis. You will provide expert advice and expertise regarding the Occupational Therapy profession to the regional team, establish an effective supervision framework, support recruitment, and identify training needs for the Occupational Therapy staff.

As a Regional Lead Occupational Therapist and Sensory Practitioner, you will be:
* Providing professional management and leadership for the Occupational therapy service across Yorkshire and the Midlands .
* Providing expert advice and expertise regarding the Occupational therapy profession to the regional team regarding service development and workforce planning.
* Establishing, monitoring and evaluating an effective supervision framework for the Occupational Therapy team and apply processes to manage performance.
* Supporting recruitment of Occupational Therapy staff across the region
* Identifying training needs for Occupational therapy staff and participate in the development and delivery of Occupational Therapy CPD opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* To be qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist
* At least 6 years post qualifying experience.
* Registered with the HCPC and meet the necessary continuing professional development requirements in order to remain on the register.
* Hold the relevant sensory practitioner qualifications
* A full and clean UK driving licence

Qualifications
* To be successful in this role, you will need to be qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist, with at least 6 years post qualifying experience. You must be registered with the HCPC and meet the necessary continuing professional development requirements, as well as hold the relevant sensory practitioner qualifications. A full and clean UK driving licence is also required.
