The Role
The Care Charging & Monitoring Team are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and flexible person to join our busy, friendly team on a permanent basis.
Under the supervision of the Care Charging and Client Debt Manager you will play a crucial part in ensuring that non-residential care services (such as Domiciliary Care and Supported Living) are monitored and that appropriate charges are applied to service users, in line with Council policies and procedures.
This role offers the flexibility of mobile working, where you'll work from home most of the time and may only need to come into the office once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the Council’s authorised Providers are paid accurately and in accordance with the relevant Contract.
* Ensuring applicable charges are passed to the Service User in a timely and accurate manner to maximise income for the Council.
* Monitoring service delivery levels in line with commissioned services.
* Implementing the non-residential charging policies in relation to various
Care Services commissioned by the Council.
* Advising and assisting Service Users and colleagues with queries/issues relating to charges.
About You
We are looking for an individual who has experience in a financial/administrative role, while also maintaining a compassionate and empathetic approach to Adult Social Care.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* NVQ Level 2 in literacy and numeracy, with a Level 3 qualification or equivalent work experience in a relevant technical area.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, along with knowledge of database software and financial management systems.
* Practical experience in service monitoring and financial processes.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with contractors, stakeholders, and the public.
* Excellent customer service skills, remaining professional and calm under pressure.
