About the Role
This new role is perfect for a hands-on leader with a solid background in food production or manufacturing. You’ll be responsible for managing the production plan, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and cost control across your area. You'll work closely with colleagues across operations, technical, and infrastructure to support a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the production of in-house product lines, ensuring all quality and specification standards are met.
* Work to production targets and schedules, ensuring maximum productivity and efficient delivery of the production plan.
* Collaborate with team leaders to support day-to-day operations and team performance.
* Liaise with infrastructure teams to ensure all equipment is maintained and operational.
* Utilise ERP data to monitor and analyse stock, yield, waste, and labour usage.
* Provide regular reporting and insights aligned to key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Become an ERP ‘super user’ post-training and support colleagues in effective system use.
* Coordinate with wider teams to ensure adequate shift coverage and resource planning.
* Monitor labour efficiency and manage all material usage in line with approved processes.
* Partner with Technical/QA teams to maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and audit readiness.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience leading teams in a food manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced setting.
* Demonstrated ability to meet production targets while managing quality and compliance.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments.
* Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
* Proficient in ERP systems and data analysis related to production performance.
* Experience driving process improvement and automation initiatives.
