Hutcheon Mearns have been exclusively engaged by a leading oil services company to source a Finance Manager on a full time basis. This maternity cover role is offered on a 12 month contract. The role will be based in Altens with hybrid and flexible working. Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Manager who will be responsible for providing financial leadership across the UK Operating Company, partnering with the business to ensure delivery of objectives in-line with the wider Group strategy. Ideal candidates will be fully qualified with excellent people management skills. The Opportunity Leading and overall responsibility for the delivery of the monthly internal reporting. Timely production of the monthly financial management reporting pack, ensuring all data KPI's are completed and understood Ownership of the budget and forecasting cycle Overall responsibility for UK reporting processes and systems Provide senior management leadership in the development and execution of the financial management and business strategy Partners collaboratively with Operations, HR Sales to facilitate decision support and performance management An active member of the monthly business performance reviews Identifies risks (financial and non-financial), and contributes to the development of actions / strategies to mitigate those risks Identify opportunities for process improvement within finance and across other business functions Ownership of the cash management cycle. Prepare rolling cashflow forecast to ensure cashflow challenges / requirements are identified and understood in a timely manner Oversee the UK annual audit and standard forms process in-line with year-end reporting timetable. Preparation of statutory accounts for board approval / sign-off Manage the preparation and timely submission of all direct / indirect taxation returns / documents to the appropriate tax authority.
