We have an exciting new opportunity for an instrument maintenance technician to join an Oil & Gas Operator at their site facility in Barrow.
Position: Instrument Maintenance Technician
Location Barrow Terminals
Duration: 12 months
Hours: 7 days on/7 days off (11 hour shifts)
Summary
To undertake routine and non-routine engineering maintenance and defect/responsive breakdown repair tasks that ensure the reliability and scheduled availability of operational plant and equipment associated with gas production/processing and condensate storage facilities.
1) To execute routine and non-routine maintenance activities efficiently to agreed processes/procedures and operational requirements
2) Investigates complex technical problems relating to critical plant, identifies solutions and acts to return plant to normal operating service with minimal supervision.
3) Prepares and presents technical reports and maintains appropriate records of activities within recognised systems.
4) Inspection and maintenance of instrumentation equipment in hazardous areas.
5) Carries out commissioning and de-commissioning activities to meet planned plant operating programmes, organising and planning own and vendor work scopes.
Requirements
Previous experience of working on a COMAH Site
BTEC Higher National Certificate or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject is necessary to provide the requisite underpinning knowledge.
Be COMPEX trained
Have SBT01 Stage 1 Assemble and Install Small Bore Tubing Assemblies ? Twin Ferrule certification
