We are a busy day nursery in Peterborough with a position for a Assistant Nursery Manager to join our team in a supernumery role. The position works alongside the Setting Manager. We are a large 91 place nursery and out of school provision with a high occupancy level. We are a dedicated team which strives to give the children and their families the best. This is a fun and rewarding nursery environment that requires someone with a high level of dedication and passion for delivering a high level of childcare.
We require someone
• with a minimum qualification of a Level 3 in Childcare
• who has a minimum of 2 years experience in an early years setting, preferably with at least 1 years experience in a supervisory role
• who has excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships with children, families, staff and external agencies
• who has a big passion for making children’s lives exciting, fun and full of learning opportunities
• has the ability to lead, support and inspire a large team to deliver outstanding services
• a strong knowledge of the Early Years Framework
• experience of safeguarding
• experience of SEND support
• must have a level 2 Math’s qualification (GCSE c or above)
• strong IT skills, ability to use social media applications and ability to use management software
• who has completed a first aid qualification or must complete one within 3 months of commencement of employment.
Your main duties will include:
• To assist in managing the running/management of the setting
• To be in charge in the managers absence
• To be the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) with support from the nursery manager
• To maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.
• To provide support to all staff where needed
• To support and lead team meetings
• To oversee and manage health and safety
• To work in partnership with the attached primary school and external agencies
• To oversee the out of school club
