Gray Healthcare are recruiting a new team of support workers within the Whitegate area of Cheshire to support a gentleman in his 50's who has a diagnosis of Autism and Learning Disabilities who will be living independently in his own home receiving 2:1 support 24 hours a day.
Main duties of the job
The gentleman we will be supporting has a good sense of humour and enjoys his own routine but requires positive motivation from staff.
He will be supported by a mixed gender team on mixed shifts of days and waking nights. We are recruiting drivers only for this role as the individual we support will have a mobility vehicle to access the community.

Job responsibilities
1 x 36-hour contract 3 x 12 hour shift per week on Days and 1 Sleep.

Induction and Training
We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (Company induction, systems, and Medication), followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice. This is a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint-dominant approaches. You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare, and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.
Person Specification
Experience
* Autism Support Worker Required Skills and Experience
* Full UK Driving License Essential.
* Social care experience, ideally with supporting individuals on the Autism Spectrum.
* Experience providing encouragement to a person with Anxiety, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.
* Experience supporting individuals with behaviours which may be considered challenging.
* Experience implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments.
* You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have been employed in the UK for at least 6 months. We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available and are unable to consider sponsorship.
* This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
