Junior Buyer - Commercial - Loughton, Essex
We are currently partnering with a growing MEP Contractor who has demonstrated success in the Construction industry for over 25 years. Due to their continued growth, they are seeking a Junior Buyer to join their team in Loughton, Essex.
Responsibilities
1. Procurement of Materials and Equipment: The Junior Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the necessary materials and equipment required for MEP projects. This includes conducting research on suppliers, obtaining quotes, and ensuring that the correct materials are ordered in a timely manner and within budget.
2. Supplier and Vendor Management: Managing relationships with suppliers and vendors is essential. The Junior Buyer is tasked with maintaining regular communication, resolving any issues with delivery or quality, and ensuring that suppliers meet contractual obligations and deadlines.
3. Inventory and Stock Control: Monitoring and managing the inventory of materials and equipment used for MEP projects. This involves ensuring that stock levels are maintained to meet project requirements and avoiding delays due to stock shortages.
4. Order Processing and Documentation: Processing purchase orders, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately, and maintaining records of purchases. The Junior Buyer ensures that proper documentation, such as delivery receipts and invoices, is kept up to date for future reference and financial tracking.
5. Cost Tracking and Budget Support: Assisting with cost tracking for purchases made for the project, ensuring that the materials and equipment are bought within the allocated budget. The Junior Buyer helps with reporting and analysing procurement expenditures, contributing to cost control efforts.
Requirements
1. Must have previous experience on construction projects
2. Must have 1+ Year experience in a similar role
3. Must have UK Passport or RTW
