Fellow in Paediatric Radiology

Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is one of the leading children's hospitals in the UK. BRCH is a secondary care centre for local paediatric population in Bristol and surrounding area, but also a tertiary and major trauma centre for children across the South West of England.
This is a fixed term one year post aimed at post-CCT radiologists with an interest in paediatric imaging and who wish to develop this further. It is designed to provide in depth experience of paediatric imaging to prepare the appointee for the position of consultant paediatric radiologist.
The successful candidate must have full GMC registration. They must also possess FRCR (or equivalent), have completed their radiological training and be entered on the Specialist Register of the GMC at the start of the fellowship. Candidates without GMC registration and FRCR (or equivalent) will not be taken in consideration for shortlisting.
The Paediatric Radiology Department is well-equipped, strongly involved in research and training, hosting 2-3 SpRs on a rotational basis.
Main duties of the job
The appointee will work under the supervision of 6 experienced general paediatric radiologists and will gain experience of the full gamut of paediatric body imaging.
The successful candidates will have an opportunity to practice all imaging modalities, participate in quality improvement projects, develop specialized interest and lead multidisciplinary meetings. It will also be expected to participate in training of students and specialty registrars (SpRs).

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
1. At least 12 months of paediatric radiology experience during radiology training
2. Demonstrable commitment to and experience of paediatric radiology during registrar training
3. Experience of teaching medical students or trainees
4. Up to date knowledge and experience of relevant specialty
5. Experience of leading clinic-radiological meetings
6. Within 6 months of CCT or post CCT
