About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced 5 Axis CNC Miller Programmer to join our dynamic team based in Bracknell. The successful candidate will specialize in programming and operating a DMG DMU Evo machine, focusing on producing one-off and small batch precision components for the aerospace and space sectors. Key Responsibilities:
* Program, set, and operate 5 Axis CNC milling machines, particularly the DMG DMU Evo.
* Create precision components according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings.
* Utilize MasterCam and Vericut software for programming and simulation; experience with other CAD/CAM software is also considered.
* Manage one-off and small batch production runs, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
* Conduct quality checks to ensure all components meet required tolerances and specifications.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.
* Maintain machine tools and ensure the working environment is safe and compliant with company standards.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
* Proficiency in MasterCam and Vericut; experience with other CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
* Strong background in manufacturing components for the aerospace and/or space sectors.
* Ability to interpret and work from complex engineering drawings.
* Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
* Effective communication skills and a proactive team player.
