An opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nursing Associate or Registered Nurse to join our medical day case unit based at Queens Hospital Burton.
The unit works together with our day case unit at Royal Derby Hospital to enable patients to care for their long-term conditions mainly in their own homes without having repeated long admissions into hospital. We offer treatments on a day-to-day basis and care for patients with a range of illnesses.
We work closely with our wider teams across the Trust including but not limited to Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Haematology, and Neurology.
Our post is mainly based at Burton but on occasion you may be asked to cover at Derby.
Responsibilities include:
1. Provide the fundamentals of care for patients attending the day unit, giving medications mainly via intravenous routes.
2. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and other members of the care team to ensure a shared understanding of the patient’s care.
3. Maintain accurate, legible, and timely records of patient care using the current patient recording system.
Closing Date of Applications: 13th March 2025
Interview Date: 28th March 2025
