An exciting full time and permanent opportunity has become available within the Children's Physiotherapy Team covering the areas of Carlisle and Penrith.
We are looking for a highly skilled Children's Physiotherapist to take on this fantastic opportunity, working closely alongside physiotherapy colleagues in the team and countywide, as well as other specialists working with the children and families you will support (Speech and Language Therapists, Children's Community Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Paediatricians etc.).

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be a key player in working alongside specialist colleagues around the county, working collaboratively with partner agencies to develop effective and responsive services to children and their families.
If successful, you will be required to travel independently, as the role includes visiting children in clinics, at home and in the school or nursery setting, as well as to NHS bases around Cumbria to attend meetings and training or development.
The post involves assessing and providing advice and intervention for children and young people aged 0-19 years with a variety of developmental conditions.

Qualifications
Essential
* Chartered Society of Physiotherapy recognised
* Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
* Health and Care Professions Council registered
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
Desirable
* Evidence of post-registration education, specifically in the paediatric field, at Master's level or equivalent experience: e.g. Paediatric Bobath course.
Experience
Essential
* Evidence of significant postgraduate experience in the delivery of paediatric physiotherapy at a senior level.
* Evidence of participation in service development projects.
* Significant knowledge of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) process and legislation relevant to children e.g. The Children and Families Act 2014.
* Experience of working in a large healthcare organisation e.g. NHS
* Experience of supervising and supporting colleagues
Desirable
* Membership of a paediatric special interest group i.e. APCP
* Evidence of leading service development projects
* Attendance at postgraduate paediatric courses and other relevant continuous professional development activities.
* Experience of working with children / Young People with diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis
