Risk and Control Consultant (Global Markets / Market Abuse Risk Assessment) Project - MARA - ( Market Abuse Risk Assessment) Duration - 6 Months - Temp to perm Office 2 day a week (UK Based) Start Date - January Lorien's leading based client is currently looking for a highly skilled Risk and Control Consultant to join the team on an initial 6 month contract with the extremely high possibility of an extension. The skills/Experience you'll need: Vast experience of working in risk management, control functions, or compliance roles within global financial markets Proven expertise in conducting market abuse risk assessments and implementing effective risk controls within trading environments. Perform detailed market abuse risk assessments across trading activities, identifying potential areas of vulnerability and recommending mitigating controls. Experience of working in global market Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk and control framework for global trading operations, ensuring it aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Work closely with traders, providing clear guidance on compliance expectations and risk control measures. Be a trusted advisor to traders on how to align trading activities with risk management objectives Proactively identify risks in trading and operational processes, assess their impact, and propose mitigating actions to reduce the likelihood of market abuse or trading anomalies. Collaborate with compliance and monitoring teams to enhance trade surveillance and other monitoring tools that identify market abuse risks, including potential insider trading, price manipulation, and spoofing.
