Due to continued expansion, they now have a rare opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer to join the business. The Technical Service Engineer will report to the Operations Manager. Your role is to support the Field Service Engineers and sub-contractors by providing telephone technical support to customers. You will prepare quotations for service work including, but not limited to installation, commissioning, remedial work, and contract business as per specification, as required by the customer and in line with their expectations. You will be responsible for developing relationships within selected key accounts by providing one-to-one support for all technical quotes and enquiries.
Responsibilities of the Technical Service Engineer:
* Relay accurate details to the customer base and Field Service.
* Submit quotations on time to customers.
* Thorough knowledge of operations and procedures for entering quotes, new jobs, and orders onto the Service Management System.
* Supply Business KPIs.
* Provide first-class customer service according to the client's standards.
* Ensure efficient processing of customer enquiries and orders.
* Interface for the external Sales team for Projects.
* Ensure that telephones are covered throughout the working day.
* Acquire new customers from both the service and sales databases.
* Be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
Requirements for the Technical Service Engineer:
* Technical Service Engineering or Technical Sales background is required.
* Experience with a product range for an engineering or manufacturing company.
* Confident communicator who has worked with Field Service Engineers, Sales Teams, and customers.
* Experience working with National Accounts, Key Accounts, or Project Management capabilities are highly desirable.
* Strong working knowledge of both Word and Excel.
