Purpose of role: The Global Projects Lead is responsible for planning, communicating, and overseeing the execution of specific strategic and tactical projects in identified priority markets. The project objectives will always be to support the local teams to deliver best-in-class strategic planning and operational execution to drive sustainable and profitable growth across the Foodservice and Convenience sectors. Working as part of a wider project team, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunity gaps in each market in agreement with the local team and key stakeholders. The project(s) could be strategic (e.g. Café launch / pilot / implementation, developing the local category plan, supplier assessments, supply chain planning, etc.) or tactical (e.g. implementing the safety manual across all sites, reducing waste, driving POS compliance, auditing food equipment, undertaking site training etc.). You will have an agreed set of individual KPIs to deliver that will predominantly be based on the successful planning and delivery of market growth objectives identified at the outset of the project (i.e. identifying strategic opportunities, Category Management and implementation). Your primary role will be to oversee the Global Projects programme through effective project management, to create and drive implementation of the plan in the market, and work closely with the local team, to ensure that this is executed and delivered successfully. Key Responsibilities Complete the induction programme provided by both FSC and the client. Engage and build relationships and ways of working, including running regular update calls with the clients team and key stakeholders (both from the client and FSC) across a range of projects Able to take a project brief and establish an A-team that is best suited to deliver that brief Manage and coordinate multiple projects and budgets to ensure effective scheduling of activities and resource across the team, thereby maximizing efficiency and profitability Day to day support and requests from project stakeholders; guide and advise Work with the wider project team to analyse the key market(s), consumer and customer data, to develop a relevant business case with realistic, yet ambitious targets Create project plans in collaboration with the rest of the FSC project team identify the key levers we will pull to deliver the business case; specify each activity and forecast the impact of the levers within an agreed timescale to drive sustainable and profitable market execution Deliver supporting visuals, such as waterfall graphs, to clearly show the financial impact of each activity and lead the business intelligence agenda. Project planning and implementation is supported by a wider project team of insights, creative design and data specialists; your role is to ensure KPI tracking and performance is at the heart of everything we do in the local market projects Oversee test & learn programmes in markets based on data insight Ensure brand and HSSE compliance is delivered throughout the project: act as a role model in these areas to raise standards for the local team, external partners and suppliers Identify potential barriers to project progress and effectively mitigate them or find solutions with the wider project team to keep the project on track Be an advocate for the client and FSC (values, standards, market/category/product extensions) Proactively contribute to other FSC projects and ensuring a process is developed for sharing experiences, best practice & learnings with the FSC Consulting team, as well as the wider FSC business A further breakdown of the above activities is detailed on a project-by-project basis for the client. Skills & Behaviours: Essential Advanced Project Management Experience in an FMCG environment Experience in food industry (retailer, supplier, or manufacturer) and Convenience Retail with a proven track record in product and category management Good knowledge of the food supply chain and in-store processes and procedures Very strong commercial mindset and business acumen. Strong appetite for growth and achieving the improbable. Dare to ask critical questions and be creative. Should prioritise driving value for both the client and FSC Proven track record of delivery. Ability to move and pace and be end goal focused and able to inspire / coach / motivate teams to deliver and create value Create value in a B2B2C business model: Business to business to consumer. Understand how a strategy is delivered in a business-to-business context and how to create a pull by delivering value through the chain for our client their partners end consumer. Stakeholder management. Internal: Able to build and maintain a strong network, thereby working closely with the different project and global teams and successfully aligning behind the clients growth objective. External: Able to effectively interact with stakeholders of different seniority in country, i.e. Owner / CEO, Management team, and be able to deliver strategic proposals and strong presentations at VP and GM levels and motivate and inspire global SMEs to support delivery. Strong networking and negotiating skills, coupled with confident and resilient ways of working Line Management. Experience of leading a highly motivated team to deliver projects on time and within budget Highly organized and efficient in managing multiple projects and resources simultaneously and seamlessly, with quick response to mitigating potential blockers or challenges to the project(s) plan Relationships and very high cross-cultural awareness. Able and willing to build, embrace and maintain relationships with stakeholders from different cultures. Communicate effectively whilst being able to adapt to the local requirements and lifestyles Excellent presentation skills: Consistent in ways of presenting and able to communicate clearly and present critical information, coupled with excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Office Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Comfortable using large datasets and analysing data with a commercial mindset to develop user-friendly insights and recommendations Strong team player: with both the clients, their partners and across the FSC business.
