Pre-School Room Lead, Senior Leadership Team member.
We are an exciting setting, with substantial real estate, grounds, and woodland, in an area of outstanding natural beauty a couple of miles North of central Bude. The setting has wonderful indoor facilities, wide-open spaces for children to explore and learn; as well as a variety of activity-specific facilities. Cheldern is a real gem.
With the right qualifications and experience, our new Pre School Room lead, will be bright, enthusiastic, and ambitious. They will be involved in the continued development of the setting, and have a real opportunity to make a transformational difference to the growth and development of the children in our care.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate leadership and management skills when overseeing daily operations in the Pre School Room.
- Support the Manager and other practitioners as a member of the Senior Leadership team.
- Create and lead engaging and educational activities for children in the pre-school room.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being.
- Implement early childhood education principles to support children's development.
- Utilize strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
The setting provides care and education for children, 6 months to 5 years old. We operate 50 weeks of the year from 8 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Successful applicants will be caring, child-centred, and engaged in their profession. We welcome applicants with a good level of experience in the sector, as well as a level 3 early years education and childcare qualification. We will particularly welcome applications from individuals with a love of the outdoors. Our grounds are incredible.
