We're looking for a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join a small Finance Team in Birmingham.
About the Role:
You'll be an integral part of the finance team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all financial records. You'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
* Managing Financial Records: Maintaining and updating ledgers, journals, and credit control records.
* Month-End Processes: Assisting with month-end closing procedures and preparing financial reports.
* Reconciling Accounts
* Financial Communication: Liaising with the accountant, bank manager, as well as third party insurance and payroll.
* Data Accuracy: Ensuring all financial data is documented accurately and efficiently.
* Responding to Queries: Providing support to the business manager by answering questions and addressing any concerns.
* VAT Management: Checking and managing VAT ledgers.
* Cash Management: Processing cash postings.
* Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable.
You'll be working closely with our Credit Control and Purchase Ledger.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Prior experience in an "all round" bookkeeper position in a standalone position or as part of a small team.
* Understanding of sales ledger, purchase ledger, and credit control.
* Strong Excel skills, including experience with sums, pivot tables, and creating reports.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What's on Offer:
* Full-time office-based role with an early finish on Fridays.
* Flexible 37.5 schedule: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-1:30pm Friday.
* Part-time opportunity: We can consider part-time employment (32 hours per week).
* Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per year DOE.
* Location: Yardley, Birmingham.
