Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and caring individual, like Chelsea, to join our team as a Support Worker. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including mental health conditions. Your role will involve assisting with daily living activities, fostering independence, and helping Chelsea achieve her personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Support Chelsea in accessing community activities, education, and employment opportunities.
Encourage and promote independence, confidence, and well-being.
Administer medication and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans.
Provide emotional support and companionship to Chelsea.
Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for Chelsea.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a care or support role is a plus, but not required.
A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to undertake relevant training, including first aid, manual handling, and safeguarding.
A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is desirable.
