The role will focus on honing your skills in supervising and reporting cross-sectional imaging scans, for both cardiac MR and cardiac CT. You will work towards, or enhance skills gained from completing, certification to report scans independently.
You will support the wider Cardiology directorate by delivering a high-quality diagnostic service and contribute to the relevant MDT meetings (the department has strong links with specialist regional service groups such as ACHD, ICC, Structural Heart Disease, etc.).
You will play a key part in the department's discrepancy meeting and will have the opportunity to contribute to departmental research.
Applications are invited for a Senior Locally Employed Doctor in Cardiac Cross-Sectional Imaging, to be based at Wythenshawe Hospital (part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust).
If you are seeking a period of higher training in Cardiac Cross-Sectional Imaging and are from a Cardiology or Radiology background, then we would love to hear from you.
You will be part of a busy Cross-Sectional Imaging unit, which runs Cardiac Imaging lists every day, with dedicated consultant support. Furthermore, the post will offer you the chance to further enhance your cardiac cross-sectional imaging skills. You will support the wider directorate team with your diagnostic skillset and work towards independent reporting of scans, whilst supported by the consultant team.
