Payroll Supervisor

Role Description
The day-to-day running of the team's international & UK payroll ensuring the procedures are correctly followed and that payments are accurately processed. To ensure all relevant data is entered so that the clients/contractors are correctly invoiced/paid.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Provide support in escalated situations (1st point).
* Coach, motivate, and develop the team.
* Create and maintain a payroll book for each of your team members including all current payroll processes for each client in the region.
* Provide training for any existing and new team members along with the Lead Supervisor and Assistant Manager.
* Implement quality control checks before and after payroll processing.
* Assist the Payroll Managers by leading and supervising the day-to-day running of the payroll department.
* Conduct weekly meetings with the Billing Supervisors.
* Conduct weekly one-to-ones and biannual Performance Development Reviews.
Payroll Processes Management
* Final check of all Tick lists being used/maintained correctly for each payroll across the team.
* Maintain/implement relevant payroll Reports, remittances & invoices, and file systematically.
* Submit relevant payroll information to the Payroll Managers by the relevant deadlines.
* Resolve any payroll queries via telephone, email, or letter in a timely manner (1st point of call for internal).
* Ensure validations are performed of all new starters, bank details, and leavers.
* Close Session/Periods.
* Run Net Pay Reports – Assisted by senior team.
* Ensure that the payroll team keeps abreast of legislative change and that all changes are actioned and documented – assisted by the senior team.
* Monitor and ensure payroll procedures are captured by team and kept up to date.
* Report any absences to payroll senior team.
* Report any issues to Payroll senior team.
* Resolve any issues with incoming timesheets & expense claims ensuring they are correctly completed in a timely manner.
* Adhere to relevant quality control checks within your team before and after payroll processing.
* Be familiar with and be able to cover all payrolls in any eventuality.
* Maintain high standard of customer service internal and external.
* Submit relevant payroll information to Payment Coordinator / Treasury.
* Reduce credit notes and errors within the team – training – support etc.
* Assist the billing team with the resolution of any client invoice queries.
* Assist the Credit Controller and Billing teams where necessary in gathering vital billing information.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Experience working in a finance/payroll/sales/purchase ledger/credit control environment essential.
* Ability to maintain, implement, and improve several administration systems to a high standard.
* Follow strict financial control guidelines.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Good experience with Microsoft Excel and the rest of MS Office.
* Strong administration and organisational skills.
* Effective communication skills – written and verbal.
* Results orientated personality.
* Demonstrates desire and ability to solve complex problems and resolve errors.
* Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
* Willingness to learn about international payrolls.
* Outgoing personality and keen to work in a fast-moving environment.
