Position Overview:
As the Business Development Manager for our music label, you will be responsible for identifying and driving business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with brands, media partners, and relevant industries, to ensure the company’s offerings resonate with the evolving music eco-system. You will create and execute innovative collaborations that generate revenue and increase market exposure for the label and its artists.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Partnership Development:
1. Identify potential partners, including brands, advertisers, sponsors, and event organizers.
2. Develop and implement cross-industry collaboration strategies to create new revenue streams for the label and its artists.
3. Communicate with brand clients to tailor integrated marketing campaigns (e.g., music endorsements, product placements, branded events).
2. Music and Brand Co-Marketing:
1. Design collaboration proposals by leveraging label and artist resources, such as music promotions and joint events.
2. Create innovative partnership models (e.g., music IP licensing, limited-edition merchandise collaborations).
3. Oversee the execution of partnership projects, ensuring alignment with brand goals and delivering high-quality outcomes.
3. Project Management and Coordination:
1. Manage end-to-end project workflows, from deal negotiation to execution, ensuring seamless progress.
2. Coordinate internal resources (artists, production teams, marketing teams, etc.) to support project implementation.
3. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development efforts.
4. Prepare regular reports and forecasts on revenue growth and partnership performance to senior management.
4. Relationship Building and Expansion:
1. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with partners, including brands, platforms, media, and event organizers.
2. Represent the label at industry events and trade shows to promote the brand and expand its network.
3. Monitor market trends and adjust business strategies to remain competitive.
5. Data Analysis and Strategic Planning:
1. Analyze market data and industry trends to identify emerging collaboration opportunities.
2. Develop annual business development plans with clear objectives and priorities.
3. Evaluate the profitability and impact of collaboration projects and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business Management, or a related field.
2. 5 years of experience in Management, preferably with brand partnerships, or business development experience, or with a pre-established network of connections in the music and entertainment industry.
3. Understanding of the music industry, with a strong grasp of brand marketing strategies and public relations.
4. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of interacting effectively with partners at all levels.
5. Familiarity with project management workflows and the ability to coordinate resources to ensure project success.
