People Operations Manager

Macgregor Black are partnering with a Consumer Manufacturing Business in the search of a People Operations Manager. To be based permanently at site, in Cambridgeshire.
As the People Operations Manager, you will act as a strategic partner and change agent, building and delivering the people capability needed to meet the requirements of our customers, our people, and our business.
Key Responsibilities
* As part of the HR leadership team, contribute to the development of the People & Culture Strategy and deliver an aligned business unit People Plan.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the executive team, providing insights and guidance on organisational design, talent management, and culture-building.
* Drive transformative change initiatives to enhance employee engagement, productivity, and alignment with business goals.
* Lead the People & Culture team, motivating and developing them to deliver best-in-class services.
* Coach and mentor managers on all aspects of people-related matters, including leadership skills, and foster a high-performance culture.
* Champion cultural transformation to establish and sustain a high-performance work environment.
* Create a climate where employees feel connected and committed to the business, becoming genuine advocates for the organisation.
* Lead all aspects of employee relations, both collective and individual, ensuring fair and compliant management practices that protect the company's reputation.
* Act as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
* Oversee and continually improve performance management processes to support a high-performance culture.
* Protect the organisation by developing and retaining key talent through capability management, succession planning, and engagement initiatives.
* Collaborate with leadership to ensure alignment of HR policies, systems, and processes to meet local and global business needs.
* Manage HR operations, including resourcing, learning and development, and HR systems, ensuring they meet business requirements efficiently.
* Work with site management to manage agency partnerships cost-effectively.
* Collaborate with Health & Safety teams to drive the right safety culture.
* Support the wellbeing of employees through development and delivery of wellbeing programs, occupational health initiatives, and return-to-work processes.
* Ensure inclusion and diversity are embedded across the business.
* Champion compliance with people-related ESG goals and modern-day slavery regulations.
What we are looking for?
* Proven track record in leading HR teams and delivering results in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, preferably within manufacturing or a similar sector.
* Ability to think long-term and develop People strategies that align with overall business goals.
* Experience in driving cultural and organisational change and leading through transformation.
* Genuine passion for people development and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture where employees feel connected, valued, and empowered.
* Strong experience in managing both collective and individual employee relations in a compliant, fair, and effective manner.
* Understanding of how to oversee and continually improve performance management processes.
* Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
