SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School in Stockport Location: Stockport Start Date: ASAP Salary: £85 - £100 per day A well-regarded secondary school in Stockport is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping students with additional needs thrive in an educational setting. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. Your role will involve providing one-to-one and small group support, helping to adapt lessons to suit individual needs, and assisting teachers in maintaining an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them engage with learning. Assist in delivering interventions and supporting students with literacy and numeracy. Work alongside the SENCO and teaching staff to implement learning strategies. Support students with their emotional and social development. Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students. Requirements: Experience working with SEN students in a school or care setting is desirable. A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with young people. A strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support them. A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or special needs (desirable but not essential).
