The Role
Are you a skilled Facilities Engineer looking for a fresh start? NO Weekends.
At TalentTide, we’re excited to present an opportunity in Falmouth for a Facilities Engineer to take charge of site maintenance and repairs at a thriving local company.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be the go-to person for all things maintenance—whether it’s routine checks or urgent fixes. You’ll need to juggle tasks like electrical repairs, plumbing, and general building maintenance, often collaborating with colleagues or third-party contractors. If you enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and keeping everything running smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Do
1. Maintenance & Repairs: Oversee site maintenance, ensuring the facilities are always in top shape.
2. Project Management: Lead key projects, from installation to ongoing maintenance of site equipment and infrastructure.
3. Regular Inspections: Conduct regular site checks to identify and resolve any issues before they become major problems.
4. Hands-On Tasks: Get involved with a variety of tasks, including plumbing, minor electrical works, and general building repairs.
What You Need
1. Experience: Previous experience in building services and facilities management is essential.
2. Skills: You should be comfortable working independently and have strong problem-solving abilities.
3. Licences: A full UK driver’s licence and a Forklift licence are essential. Training for working at heights and using MEWP or Cherry Picker machinery is desirable.
4. Qualifications: Knowledge of facilities regulations and building codes is essential, while IOSH or NEBOSH certificates would be a plus.
The Perks
1. Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 per year
2. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:45 to 15:15, giving you your afternoons and weekends free to enjoy the beautiful Cornish coast.
3. Pension: High company contribution, increasing after 5 years of service.
4. Private Healthcare: Available after 2 years of service.
5. Holiday: 21 days plus 4 extra days over Christmas and 8 bank holidays, giving you plenty of time to relax and unwind.
