The company that I’m recruiting for is a leading name within the highways, utilities, bridges, and civil engineering infrastructure sectors within England. The firm specializes in S278 and S38 works, as well as construction and maintenance work for all types of highway, from minor roads to motorways and major route construction. They also specialize in bridge infrastructure, utilities, and rail.
About the Opportunity:
This is a brilliant opportunity for somebody who is looking for long-term stability, hands-on development, continued progression, and a great working environment. Due to a large increase in work, my client is now looking to strengthen their commercial team for many highways infrastructure projects.
The packages will range from £100,000 up to £5M and will see you traveling to various sites all over Yorkshire and even up to Newcastle. You will be reporting into the Commercial Director who is a very good leader and has built an excellent team over the past few years. These are Highways frameworks and will provide you with long-term, stable work over many years.
The projects will involve drainage, concrete works, kerbing, and paving. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in measuring on-site, looking after a portfolio of projects, dealing with the client, change management, as well as looking after a small team.

About the Requirements:
You are required to have a good standard of education, preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification) in either Construction, Civils, Commercial Management, or Quantity Surveying. To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have worked for a Civil Engineering contractor or a groundworks sub-contractor, as a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor. I am looking for someone with solid stability on their CV, spending at least 3 years at their current company. The role is a permanent position. No freelancers can be considered. A UK driving license is mandatory for this role.
