Cook Required - MUST have care home catering experience
Hours: 40 per week. To include working alternate weekends
Location: Bournemouth
We are looking for a talented, experienced chef looking to improve the lives of other people, with experience of working in a care home and catering for the dietary needs of our residents.
At our Care Home, you will be responsible for running the kitchen and meal experience for our elderly residents.
By creating and preparing a varied and nourishing menu, you'll directly support the wellbeing of our residents and make a genuine difference to their quality of life.

Who We Are Looking For
1. You should have recent experience of cooking for large numbers in a care home setting.
2. You must have previously managed and motivated a catering team.
3. You'll have experience of providing food for people with special dietary requirements.
4. We'd like someone who is flexible, who can work alternate weekends.
5. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
How You'll Make a Difference
You'll be responsible for our residents' meal experience and running the nursing home's kitchen. Leading and supporting a team, you will:
1. Design a varied menu that reflects our residents' tastes and supports their nutritional needs.
2. Ensure mealtimes are always a high-quality experience.
3. Maintain the highest food standards.
4. Support, train and direct the kitchen team.
5. Mentor and motivate on quality, safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
6. Assist the General Manager in developing and managing the budgetary, human and material resources within the department.
