Business Services Group based in Gosport, Hampshire, has an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to undertake the financial management for the finance function and ensure the timely production of all monthly and annual reports.
What will the Financial Accountant role involve?
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the key responsibilities of the position will include:
* Preparation of the annual financial statements and all statutory returns including VAT;
* Management of the annual budgeting process including liaising with non-finance stakeholders in understanding costs for their individual departments;
* Review of internal processes and systems, making recommendations and implementing improvements where necessary;
* Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure sound financial management systems are in place.
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:
* Applicants for the position will hold a full accountancy qualification with previous experience of working within a similar position;
* A proven track record of driving through effective change will be required to undertake the role successfully as will the ability to effectively manage and support a small team.
