Interim SENCO - Dorchester (Immediate Start until Easter) Start Date: ASAP Location: Dorchester Duration: Until Easter 2025 Pay: Paid to scale Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a local Secondary school in Dorchester on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to make a real impact on the educational experience and outcomes of students with additional needs in a supportive and dynamic school environment. We welcome both full time and part time applicants. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate the provision for students with special educational needs (SEN). Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN. Monitor and track student progress, providing targeted support where necessary. Ensure that all students with SEN have equal access to the curriculum and extracurricular activities. Lead and support staff training in best practices for inclusive education. Liaise with parents, carers, external agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and support. The ideal candidate will: Possess experience in a SENCO role or working with students with additional needs. Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Show a commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for all students. Be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
