Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive primary school? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Burnley, providing tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
✔ Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, adapting to their individual needs.
✔ Assist the class teacher with general TA duties, including lesson preparation and classroom management.
✔ Implement EHCPs (Education, Health & Care Plans) and support students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
✔ Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes confidence and independence.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
✅ A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
✅ Ability to adapt to different age groups and learning abilities.
✅ A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable.
