About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant at our South Brent site, you’ll work closely with a team to deliver tailored, learner-centred education. You’ll provide personalised support for individuals and small groups, assisting students with varied needs in SEMH and ASD. This role requires flexibility, strong communication, and a passion for outdoor learning to support students in developing confidence, resilience, and skills for life.
Key Skills and Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Support: Assist across all curriculum areas, including Literacy, Numeracy, SEMH, STEM, Forest Skills, and more.
* Individual Support: Help create Individual Behaviour Support Plans (IBSPs) and deliver needs-based interventions.
* Behaviour Management: Monitor and record behaviour strategies, identifying trends to support learner development.
* Home and Community Engagement: Support the Home Learning Environment and maintain communication with families.
* Safeguarding and Wellbeing: Ensure a safe, supportive environment, actively safeguarding learner welfare.
* Progress Tracking: Use creative assessment methods, track learner progress, and report outcomes for EHCP reviews.
* Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team, provide crisis management support, and engage in professional development.
