Role Summary:
You will support the Pension Administration business with the timely and efficient management of outstanding debts, optimizing cashflow and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
This is a hybrid position where you will work from Chichester Aptia office, as well as from your home address. It's a 6 months contract role.
Here's what you'll be doing:
* Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring overdue debts are chased in a timely and professional manner.
* Communicating with clients and customers regarding outstanding balances, setting up payment plans where necessary, and ensuring a high level of customer service.
* Partner with offshore team in India to reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies or issues related to outstanding invoices.
* Maintain accurate records of communications and payments, providing regular reports on the status of outstanding debts to senior management.
* Assist in reviewing and setting appropriate credit limits for new and existing clients.
* Support the wider finance team in ensuring cash flow targets are met and helping to optimise working capital.
* Establish efficient and effective processes for the Credit Control team.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
* Experience in a credit control role, ideally within a financial services or pension administration business.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive client conversations professionally.
* Ability to maintain accurate records, with a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and credit control systems.
* Institute of Credit Management full or part-qualification preferred (could be working towards one).
* Familiarity with pension administration and associated financial processes would be an advantage but not essential.
