Join us as a Property Manager and make an invaluable contribution to our Food Safety & Biosecurity We are seeking a highly organised and responsible individual to oversee and manage our company's interests as a tenant in a complex site that includes laboratories, offices, and specialist facilities. As a property manager you will be the primary point of contact for property management issues, ensuring effective space utilisation, compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, and the efficient operation of all property-related activities. This role demands a proactive approach to managing our laboratory and office space, equipment, and relationships with service providers to ensure our business operations run smoothly and efficiently. What you’ll be doing: The primary point of contact for property related matters, including the management of a Help Desk facility and third-party service providers through to resolution. Oversee and manage service contracts, ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to and issues are resolved promptly. Facilitate and plan preventive maintenance (PPM) activities on Fera's business operations. Take ownership of business resilience from a property perspective, ensuring continuity and readiness for any situation. Conduct management compliance audits to ensure business compliance with regulatory requirements across the business including environmental, health & safety standards and waste disposal processes. Manage risks associated with the property and infrastructure, maintaining a property risk log and implementing risk management strategies. Develop a plan to reduce the energy consumption across the Fera footprint reflective of the business targets for its cost reduction and environmental governance. Measure and monitor the available data and ensure that we continue to improve on the quality of service and the return on investment in our footprint and FM service. Responsible for the property budget, and maintenance costs, ensuring financial efficiency. What we’re looking for: Proven experience in property management, preferably in settings involving laboratories, offices, and specialist facilities. Strong understanding of facilities management, space optimisation, and compliance requirements. Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively. Knowledge of local property laws, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards. Experience in managing budgets, operational expenses, and service contracts. Experience of problem solving and managing complex issues through to resolution in a challenging environment.
