Job Summary
The Facilities Department are looking to recruit a number of hard working, enthusiastic individuals to join our Hotel Services Co-ordinator Team at Arrowe Park Hospital.
The role Hotel Services Co-ordinator involves the daily supervision of Cleanliness Services staff to ensure that excellent standards of cleanliness are monitored and maintained within our Trust to provide a clean and safe healthcare environment that meets our patient's expectations in line with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 and our Trust's Infection Prevention and Control guidelines.
Various 30 hour posts available at Arrowe Park Hospital.

Main Duties of the Job
1. Supervise the day-to-day operation of domestic duties, checking timekeeping, duties, and standards.
2. Ensure all staff have attended for duty and organise cover for any absences, adjusting rotas, documenting overtime.
3. Understand and ensure that all departmental policies and procedures are in place and practised (i.e., Health & Safety, Colour Coding, COSHH, Uniform, etc.).
4. Ensure accidents/incidents are immediately reported and the correct documentation is completed.
5. Ensure completion of requisitions for reporting defects and constant monitoring to ensure repair.
6. Maintain regular communication with wards/departments/Hotel Services Managers to ensure a fully functional service.
7. Monitor and audit cleanliness standards using Tendable and Micad auditing software.
8. Responsible for stock control in the area of supervision.
9. Train and ongoing assessment of all new recruits, together with compliance of all relevant documentation.

* N.V.Q Level 3 in cleaning or equivalent.
Desirable
* ILM Level 3 Introductory Certificate in First Line Management or equivalent.

* The ability to delegate, take control, and diffuse any situations that may arise, in a professional manner with the knowledge of personnel to contact for assistance if required.

* To know, understand, and operate the appropriate procedure for domestic services (i.e., National Cleaning Standards, COSHH, Health and Safety, Industrial Relations, Employee Training, Environmental Issues, Fire Risks/Precautions, and compliance with National Acts and regulations).
