The Stronger Practice Hub is funded by the Department for Education as part of their drive to improve quality within early years, ensuring all children have the best start in life. The Early Years Stronger Practice Hubs programme launched in November 2022 and is supported by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) and the National Children’s Bureau (NCB). The government recently announced that they are extending funding for Stronger Practice Hubs until March 2026. The 18 Hubs across England provide advice, share good practice and offer evidence-based professional development for early years practitioners. The Hub supports settings to put the ‘best bets’ from research evidence into practice to make a difference to children’s learning, development and life chances. We do this by: Proactively sharing information and advice on evidence-based approaches through newsletters, blogs, events, webinars and social media. Establishing and maintaining networks of cross-sector providers and organisations to support evidence-informed early years practice and knowledge sharing. Acting as a point of contact for bespoke advice and to support access to professional development opportunities and evidence-informed programmes. We are seeking an experienced administrator to provide comprehensive administrative and financial support to the Stronger Practice Hub team. This role will involve supporting the hub lead, project manager, the nursery school business manager and wider Stronger Practice Hub team to ensure that the hub operates effectively and efficiently. Experience of working in the early years sector would be desirable. Are you an experienced administrator who has a positive and flexible approach to your work? You will: be well organised and able to co-ordinate in-person events, meetings and webinars arrange weekly meetings, preparing an agenda, contribute ideas, taking appropriate notes and undertake necessary follow up work be able to use your initiative and be enthusiastic about the role have excellent written and spoken English, this is essential for the role have basic maths skills, essential for monitoring spending costs and budgeting. be familiar with using Google Drive, Mailchimp, Microsoft Office, Canva or be willing to learn be creative and have experience in using social media to market, advertise and schedule content material, upcoming webinars and events be responsible in keeping up with deadlines, financial and data reports on a monthly basis. be able to order supplies, merchandise and maintain records of financial transactions. be able to process orders and raise invoices on Bromcom or similar, MIS be able to monitor the subscribers list, engage with attendees and keep up with engagement data.
