Senior Support Worker – Accommodation Based

Your role will involve working in an accommodation based unit, taking the lead in providing practical & emotional support to our service users, who live either on their own with 1:1 staff support or in small group settings.
Our service users are aged 18+ with a range of conditions, such as:
* Mental health problems
* Physical health issues
You’ll make a huge difference to someone’s daily life by aiding them in basic duties, including:
* Supporting individuals to access their community
* Accompanying them to appointments
* Assisting them with personal care & household tasks e.g. helping with meds, preparing meals
* Developing/reviewing care plans & risk assessments
* Leading/attending review meetings, communicating with external health professionals etc.

All that we require from you is that you have experience & knowledge caring for people with complex mental health needs & challenging behaviour. Ideally, you will have an NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care. You will need to possess great management skills, with good written/verbal communication. Applications from social care graduates are welcome. FULL DRIVING LICENSE IS ADVANTAGEOUS.
